Booking Conditions
To be read before completing our Printable Booking Form
Our guarantee to our clients at Lightpipe barn is Lightpipe will be in a good state of repair, with all fittings, appliances etc. in good working order. (The exception being damage or breakdown reported by guests leaving that morning when there has been insufficient time to arrange repair or replacement).
We guarantee a high level of cleanliness, and would ask our guests to leave the premises in the same state of repair and cleanliness in which it was found.
Booking confirmation
A returnable deposit of £375 will be required alongside your holiday payment, after you leave Lightpipe will be inspected for damage and breakages and then your deposit will be returned. Full payment of your deposit and holiday cost must be received 10 weeks prior to the start of your holiday. Payment in full is requested for imminent bookings.
Cancellations
If you need to cancel your booking you must inform us in writing and verbally as soon as possible. If you cancel more than 10 weeks before the start of your holiday the invoice and deposit will be returned in full. if you cancel within 10 weeks of your holiday start date the balance excluding £150 of your deposit will only be returned if we can re-let the property for that period, we therefore that you arrange suitable holiday insurance. If you do not inform us or make the balance payment in time we are entitled at our discression to treat your booking as having been cancelled by you.
Arrival and Departure
The cottage will be available from 12:00 noon on the first day of your holiday. You are expected to keep us informed of your time of arrival. If we are not there to personally welcome you, please call us if you have any questions about any of the facilities. We hope you will find everything you need to know in our 'Welcome folder'.
Departure time is 12.00 noon.
Occupancy
Lightpipe Barn is to sleep no more than 4 people, we reserve with our absolute discretion to refuse admission or repossess the property as the case may be if we have reasonable grounds to believe that 1) a crime or 2) damage to property has been committed intentionally, is being commited or may be committed by any person in your party during your stay. If we do have to repossess the property there will be no refunds and all charges / costs will be added and pursued. You are fully responsible for the behaviour of the members of your party.
Breakages
Small breakages such as a cup or glass will not be charged for, however please bring any such breakages to our attention to enable us to replace them for new guests. For loss, damage or breakages of larger items, several smaller items or keys, you are responsible to pay for replacements.
Pets
Pets are not allowed sorry.
Smoking
Smoking is permitted at Lightpipe Barn but at an extra charge of £65 per week, if we find any evidence of smoking without it being declared or paid for we will deduct the cost from your deposit.
Sky TV
Sky TV is included and the basic package is available. If you would like to add the sports and movies package to this an extra charge of £50 is required.
Essentials
A Welcome Basket will be placed for your arrival containing; Milk, Bread, etc.
Liability
We shall not be liable to you if the Barn is not available for your booking and for any loss or damage suffered by you caused by any circumstances which are beyond our reasonable control (e.g. fire, flood, exceptional weather conditions, power-cut etc). We shall be under no liability to you for any consequential or indirect loss and/or expense (including the costs of securing an alternative accommodation) arising out of a breach by us of this hire agreement.
Owner's Access
The owner of the property or his representative shall be allowed access at any reasonable time during your stay.
