Wildlife - Kielder is home to a fabulous array of animals and plants, some very rare. The Red Squirrel and Otter are both residents in Kielder. The village of Otterburn, within Wild Redesdale, is home to Otterburn Mill, which houses a shop, exhibition centre, Tourist Information Centre and tea rooms.

Fishing - A fishermans paradise only 10 minutes away at Kielder Water and other great fishing spots.

Observatory - an astronomical observatory on Black Fell, a hill close to the Scottish border and overlooking Kielder village in Northumberland. Taking advantage of the area’s lack of light and air pollution and help to evolve the current use of Kielder by astronomers, enabling more people to develop their interest in astronomy throughout the full course of the year
